The Y-Not Festival Green Calculator uses Google Maps to calculate distance from your starting point to the festival site in derbyshire via the UK road network. 

There has been an adjustment made for the trains calculation as there is not a train station at the Y-Not Festival site.  It is likely, if travelling by train to the festival, that a festival goer would  then use other public transport from one of the two closest stations, Buxton and Matlock (both in Derbyshire).  This journey of around 10 miles from Matlock, or 14 miles from Buxton by bus, has been added to the calculation.  Obviously there are not train stations at every starting location.

The calculations estimated when using the Green Calculator are based upon the CO₂ emission data from National Express and the distance given by Google Maps.  These calculations are not 100% accurate and rely on the information given by Google Maps and National Express .
